Gujarat government gave appointment letters to 11,607 new LRD jawans at Gandhinagar. CM Bhupendra Patel joked that their training started from today itself as candidates sat in the heat.
Deputy CM Harsh Sanghvi congratulated the jawans and said they will now be known with respect. He told them to keep humanity and sensitivity while wearing khaki.
For the first time, new LRDs will get district posting option after recruitment. Government said police training and modernization will continue to keep Gujarat safe.
