A big fire broke out at Raj Textile Market in Surat’s Parvat Patiya area after fire started inside a lift on the ground floor. The fire quickly went up to the seventh floor and more than 20 shops were burnt. Fifteen fire engines from different fire stations reached the spot to control the fire.
A big fire broke out early today at Raj Textile Market in the Parvat Patiya area of Surat. The fire started in a lift on the ground floor and quickly spread to the upper floors of the building. Within a short time, the fire reached up to the seventh floor and many shops were covered in flames.
More than 20 shops were badly damaged in this fire. After getting the fire call, 15 fire engines from nine different fire stations of Surat rushed to the market. Firefighters are working hard to control the fire and stop it from spreading to nearby buildings. Till now, no injury or death has been reported. The reason for the fire is not yet known and is being checked.
